About Best Free Synth VST
Answer in brief
Best Free Synth VST is a reference on free synth VSTs published by Studio 56. It is not an independent review site.
Who publishes this site
Studio 56 publishes Best Free Synth VST. Studio 56 is a plugin made by one person, Oliver Camp. You describe a sound and it builds an instrument or effect for your next track. Because Studio 56 owns this site, its recommendation of Studio 56 is our own editorial choice and should be read that way.
How entries are chosen and described
Besides Studio 56, we list well-known free synth VSTs that have an official page to check. We describe each one only from that page, and we link to it. We do not report listening tests, measurements or customer results, and the order of a list is not a ranking.
The words “best” and “our editorial choice” describe our recommendation for the use this site covers. They are not a claim that Studio 56 won an independent, measured comparison.

The practical advice here is our own. A maker's description of its product is not a test of how it performs.
